What this gathering is for

Open Home is for pastors, leaders and teams who want to be refreshed in God’s presence, encouraged in the season they are in, and strengthened for all God has called them to do.

Whether you are coming full of faith or feeling a little weary, we believe these two days will do your soul good.

What to expect

Open Home takes place across Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June.

We will begin on Monday 15th June at 6.30pm with a warm welcome and food together, before an evening session with Dr Steve Robinson.

We will gather again on Tuesday 16th June from 9am to 5pm for a full day of main sessions, practical breakouts and time together.

Please keep these timings in mind when booking travel and accommodation so you can make the most of your Open Home experience.

Will the event be streamed or are the recordings available?

Open Home is designed as an in person gathering, so the event will not be streamed and recordings will not be available.

We’d love to encourage guests to join us in the room and make the most of the full Open Home experience.

Is there childcare provided?

Childcare will not be provided during Open Home.

We’d encourage guests to make any arrangements needed in advance as they plan for the two days.

Will food be provided?

Yes. Open Home is fully catered across the two days, with food and refreshments provided on both Monday and Tuesday. Please specify any dietary requirements when signing up.

What if I have additional questions or require special assistance?

If you have any additional questions, accessibility needs, or require special assistance, please email events@soulchurch.com and our team will be happy to help.

If I have a question for a specific ministry, how can I get that answered?

We’ll be facilitating breakout sessions with members of the SOUL team across a range of ministry areas, creating space to share practical insight and answer questions. If there’s something specific you’d love help with, there will also be opportunities to submit questions during Open Home.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive anytime between 50 minutes and, at the latest, 20 minutes before the show to park, check in and enjoy the Pre-Show atmosphere. The pre-show begins 15 minutes before the main performance. After this, seating cannot be guaranteed.

What can I expect across the two days?

Across Open Home, you can expect worship, main sessions, practical input and opportunities to connect with others serving in church life.

Guests will hear from Ps Jon and Chantel Norman, Dr Steve Robinson, and the SOUL team. Our heart is to create a space where leaders and teams can pause, receive fresh encouragement, and return home strengthened for the season ahead.

Will there be breakout sessions?

Yes. We are planning a range of breakout conversations and team led sessions designed to support different areas of ministry and leadership.

These may include themes such as marriage and ministry, crisis in ministry, and practical lunchtime sessions hosted by members of the SOUL team, sharing insight from different departments and areas of church life.

More details will be shared closer to the event.

Can I bring my team?

Yes, absolutely. Open Home has been created not only for individuals, but for whole teams too.

We’d love for you to come with your team and take these two days to be encouraged, strengthened and inspired together.

Is there SEND provision?

We have a small SEND room available during The Wonder, with the show streamed on a screen inside the room. You’re very welcome to use this space at any point during your visit, but please note that a parent or guardian must stay with their child at all times.

If you’d like to use the SEND room, simply speak to one of our team and they’ll be happy to guide you there.

How do I cancel my tickets?

If you need to cancel your tickets, simply open your booking confirmation and set up an account. From there, you can manage your booking. If you are unable to do this, please email our team at wonderinfo@soulchurch.com.

Can I bring drinks and food into the auditorium?

We ask that you only bring in drinks with a lid and only food and drinks purchased at our onsite cafe.

What do I do with my pram?

We’re sorry but because we’re tight for space, you won’t be able to bring your buggy or pram into the auditorium. We have a dedicated area within the building where you can leave it, but please note this isn’t supervised, so you do leave it at your own risk.

Is there a cafe?

Yes! Our SOUL Café serves a range of festive drinks, snacks, and light bites before and after the show.
Card, cash and contactless payments are accepted.

Is there parking onsite?

Free on-site and overflow parking are available, and stewards will direct you on arrival. Accessible drop-off and Blue Badge parking are located close to the entrance.

What to wear? Is the building warm?

Whatever you're comfortable in! With so many people, it can get a bit warm, so layers are always a good idea, but there's no dress code. Some people prefer to come in their jeans or joggers, while others like to dress more smartly. It really doesn't matter - we want you to feel relaxed and at home.

What happens if I’m running late?

Entry cannot be guaranteed once the pre-show has commenced (15 minutes before the main show). If seats become available after the opening moments, our team will guide you in as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Can I take photos or videos during the show?

Personal photos are welcome, but please avoid flash so everyone can enjoy the performance.

Is there wheelchair or accessibility access?

Yes, we also have accessible parking available close to the building and the building is wheelchair friendly.

Is there a baby-changing area or feeding room?

A Parent & Baby Room is available for feeding, and there are baby-changing facilities on site.

Does Church offer SEND provision?

We are passionate about making church accessible to everyone and sharing the gospel with people, regardless of their needs. For children and young people with additional needs and disabilities we offer support in Soul Kids and Soul Youth. For those with higher support needs, we have a programme running in the 11:30am service in our SEND room, specifically designed to minister to those aged 3-17 who may not be able to access other areas of church. What will happen my first time?

When you turn into Heartsease Lane, our friendly Arrivals Team will show you to a suitable parking space (Blue badge parking available). When you come in to SOUL Church, you'll see our cafe and a central atrium where people can hang out and chat. From here, you can check your kids in to their age groups and come into the main auditorium for the service. Our Host Team will be waiting to show you to your seat. Our services usually last around 90 minutes, and include worship, prayer and a message. We have a family room for those with babies and toddlers and a private breastfeeding area. You'll be able to watch the service on screen from these rooms, so you won't miss anything.

What do you offer for family?

We cater for all ages here. If you have a baby in a pram, we have an area of seating where we can take a number of buggies and prams. It's close to our breastfeeding room. We also have two family rooms, so if you need to pop out with your little one, there's a place where they can play and you can feed them and change nappies. Our kids programme runs throughout the service for those aged 3-11. You'll need to register your child, which takes a few minutes, so please arrive a few minutes early if you can. We also have a youth programme that usually runs at the 9am and 11:30am services for high school ages. SOUL Youth also runs on Friday nights during term time, from 7-9pm.
